"The first day I ran an Anderson Billfish Lure, I swam one Anderson Small Barrel in a spread of Hollowpoint and Citer Lures. We tagged a 45kg and 90kg Striped Marlin on an Anderson Small Barrel – the only two fish tagged on the day! What a ripper! It was another great day out and we had rods going off everywhere, but when we reeled this little beauty (Dolphin Fish - 15kg) in at the November 2006 AIBT in Coffs Harbour NSW, we couldn’t be happier! I am a very new but keen Game Fisherman. I met Mark around the place at work and so on. I have bought about 10 of the Anderson Billfish Lure range. Fishing with Mark and with his advise, within two fishing trips about 6 weeks apart, I landed my first Black and Blue Marlin ever! The first one was a 45kg Black Marlin and the second was an impressive 149kg Blue Marlin caught of Seal Rocks Canyons. With the Blue Marlin I came runner up in the Greg Ridgeway Memorial Fishing Competition, run by Great Lakes Fishing Club (April 2007). I have fished the Broome Penn International 6kg Tournament 93/94, being champion boat on the first day and finishing top 5 overall. 50th Anniversary Sydney Game Fishing Club 2002 Easter Tournament, champion angler tag and release. Gove Game Fishing Club 50th Billfish on an Anderson Billfish Lure. I was lucky to be sponsored by Anderson BillFISH Lures for the Northern Territory Billfish Championships in November 2006 at Gove in Arnhem Land. I was fishing from mothership Auriga Bay II, Top End Fishing Expeditions. We used Anderson BillFISH Lures for the whole tournament with amazing results, being the first time that I have used these lures. I tagged and released the 50th Billfish for the Gove Game Fishing Club, which was the day before the competition. They certainly proved themselves in our eyes, and went on to catch Sailfish, Tuna, Mackerel and other species, all on Anderson Billfish lures throughout the Competition. I have been a keen fisherman all my life and decided to go to the AIBT Tournament in Coffs Harbour. I entered my Grandson, Jarred in the Juniors day and he won. He tagged and released a Striped Marlin about 80kg on a Anderson Billfish Lure - Barrel. He won his first title at this tournament and couldn’t wipe the smile off his face at presentation night when he won a Tiagra reel, line and a bronze trophy.
